"Let Me Entertain You" Fabrics, Projects, & Giveaway

Calling all creative couch potatoes! Now vegging out can help you tune in to your creative side with my brand new “Let Me Entertain You” fabrics from Robert Kaufman. A treasure trove of throwback TV sets and tiny tubes coordinate with prints of retro remote control buttons, classic movie cameras, movie theater tickets, and even concession stand munchies!

Plus, just like old Hollywood movies, “Let Me Entertain You” fabrics come in color or black & white (with gobs of groovy grays seen here, here, and here). Even though the design is retro, these cottons are modernly machine washable, getting you back to your normally scheduled programming in a jiffy.

For all those mini movie buffs, the kids’ sewing pattern gurus over at Peek-A-Boo Pattern Shop have created a completely cool and comfy looking pattern of Rough N’ Tumble pants using the movie cameras print. If only it came with a side of popcorn!

To celebrate the launch of these “Let Me Entertain You” fabrics, I’ve joined up with super sewer extraordinaire Jen Carlton Bailly of the Betty Crocker Ass blog on a fun quilt project and giveaway. Taking the nostalgic TV and movie theme of the collection, Jen created the brilliant “Family Movie Night” quilt mixing and matching the color and black & white prints to produce a remarkably retro 3D glasses quilt.

So if you’re feeling inspired to get your own creative claws on these cottons, you can enter Betty Crocker Ass’s giveaway of ¼ yard cuts of the entire line plus a set of Jen’s clever quarter circle cutting templates to add some cool curves to your creations. To enter, comment on your favorite piece from the collection on Jen’s blog before October 16 at midnight. Here’s hoping you plug in to some lucky vibes!
